Sapling is a project providing substance recovery based support for clients with a local connection to an Oxfordshire district.
The project provides 5 rooms in a dry environment for people over 18 that have completed a detox treatment programme at Howard House or other out of county provision.
The accommodation and support is provided for 6-9 months and clients build further skills to maintain abstinence and strengthen their recovery while preparing for independent living in the community. Support is provided by Housing and Engagement Facilitators with specialist skills in substance recovery. A programme of one to one support, group work and peer support, plus a range of activities to move forward with meaningful activity, education and employment are available.
The project is funded by Public Health to enable Oxfordshire clients of substance misuse services to move on with accommodation and support. Preventing homelessness and improving outcomes for maintaining abstinence and successful living within communities.
