Julian Housing is recruiting for the full time (37.5 hpw) permanent role of Housing and Resettlement Worker at The Vineyard, Abingdon
Project Profile
45 Vineyard is a three storey; grade II listed building in the centre of Abingdon containing 14 flats, 13 of which make up the ‘main project’ and the remaining 1 as the Assessment Bed. The main project is commissioned to support clients in four types of classified bed spaces: 4 ‘complex progression’, 3 ‘progression’, 3 ‘progression move on’ and 3 ‘move on ready’. The main project is commissioned to accommodate and support clients for between 6 and 9 months. The assessment bed is temporary emergency accommodation for primarily rough sleepers. Clients are referred in by either the pathway co-ordination team or the local council.
Client support is delivered via the on- site office by two Housing and Resettlement Workers each with allocated clients. Staff are on site Monday-Friday during office hours and will be part of the Julian Housing on call rota. The office is a welcoming space for clients and host regular house meetings every 6-8 weeks which are an integral part of the project and allow clients to get to know each other and shape how the service is delivered. Clients are regularly supported by our in-house education, training, employment and activities advisor who will assist clients to achieve their own personal goals and aspirations.
