Housing First
Housing First aims to offer an alternative to homelessness for entrenched rough sleepers aged 22+ who struggle either to access or sustain living in traditional hostel-style accommodation.
Housing First consists of four single-unit flats located around Oxford.
Starting with intense pre-tenancy work, support is built up around the client and their housing, coordinating the input of any other relevant agencies. This work is led by a dedicated Housing First support worker with the assistance of a Peer Support worker. Support is is available during weekday office hours (with flexibility). Residents can stay for a maximum of two years, after which they move to long-term, stable accommodation.
Pets may be accommodated, depending on location.
Referral is via Oxford City Outreach team.
